Pharmacology
Each tablet contains- Dried Aluminium Hydroxide Gel BP (Al2O3 47%, minimum): 250 mg Magnesium Hydroxide BP: 400 mg Each 5 ml contains- Aluminium Oxide (Equivalent amount of Aluminium Hydroxide Gel USP): 175 mg Magnesium Hydroxide (Equivalent amount of Magnesium Hydroxide Paste USP): 225 mg
Contraindications
Long term use of any antacid results in alkaluria, which may predispose to nephrolithiasis by forming precipitation of calcium phosphate.
Side Effects
It is advised to avoid antacid preparations in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Pregnancy And Lactation
Antacids reduce the absorption of tetracycline when given concomitantly. These should not be used concomitantly
